Where Crown Putt fits
Crown Putt is built for one thing: a ball rolling true. The 3/16 in gauge is half the spacing of our landscape products, which puts twice as many stitch rows under the ball, and the 0.75 in texturized PP face carries no thatch layer at all — nothing underneath to deflect a putt. The mill rates it 100 for ball control, the highest single rating on any product we stock. Specify it for backyard and residential greens, practice and chipping areas, indoor simulators, and clubhouse or resort amenity greens. Available factory-direct in full rolls or cut lengths — call for pricing.

Sand infill is not optional on a putting green. An uninfilled green will not putt true regardless of the material specified, and the infill also holds the fibres upright and protects the backing. Superior Turf Direct supplies materials only — infill, base, cups and fringe are specified and installed by others.

A green needs a collar. Most builds run a taller landscape turf around the putting surface to frame it and soften the transition.

Green Speed
Crown Putt green speed
No stimp or green-speed rating is supplied with the material. Roll speed on a finished green is a property of the installed system — base flatness, sand infill depth and grade, brushing, and maintenance — not of the turf alone. If a customer or specifier asks for a stimp number, that number belongs to the finished installation and must be measured on site.
