How does trade ordering work if there's no online payment?

You never enter payment details on this website. Start by requesting pricing or calling us, and tell us the product and square footage your project or stock order needs. Our team reviews the request, confirms availability and final trade pricing, and sends your invoice directly. Nothing is due until you have that confirmed invoice in hand. Once it's paid, your order ships from the warehouse to your jobsite or yard.

Do you install the turf?

No. Superior Turf Direct supplies materials only and does not provide installation services — installation is your scope of work with your client. California installation work may require a CSLB-licensed contractor — licensing and permitting on the job remain your responsibility. Pro Partners in our network may also receive qualified project referrals in their service area; any resulting contract is between you and that customer.

How do returns work?

Accepted Answer

Turf is sold from full rolls that are cut and pulled for your specific order, so returns are limited. Contact us within the window described in our Terms of Sale and we'll walk your account through the process. Unopened, uncut, resalable full rolls may be eligible for return subject to a restocking fee and return freight. Cut lengths, custom orders, and installed material are not returnable. Damaged or incorrect shipments should be reported to us immediately so we can make it right.

How do swatches work for client presentations?

Call (619) 717-1342 and tell your rep which turf products you are specifying; the rep can arrange physical swatches shipped to your business. Swatches are the best way to let a client confirm color and blade feel before you order, because color can vary slightly between dye lots and photos. Talk to your rep by phone or text.

What warranty do the products carry?

Our turf products carry a 16-year limited warranty covering excessive UV fade and fiber loss under normal residential use — 8 years of factory coverage plus 8 prorated years of Superior residual coverage. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, abuse, chemicals, or extreme heat sources — so installation workmanship stays with the installing contractor. How is turf priced?

Turf is priced per square foot and confirmed by our team — call (619) 717-1342 or request trade pricing. Material is supplied on full 15ft x 100ft rolls, so usable coverage and cut waste affect the total. Quoted amounts are material only. Freight, infill, seam tape, nails, base material, and labor are separate. Our team confirms the final number before anything is due.

What's the difference between face weight and pile height?

Pile height is how tall the blades stand, measured in inches. Taller piles look lush and natural; shorter piles like Crown Putt at 0.75" are built for ball roll and heavy traffic. Face weight is the ounces of yarn per square yard, not counting the backing. Higher face weight generally means a denser, more durable, more premium-feeling turf. Use both together — a tall pile with a low face weight will lie down faster than a dense one.
