Where Elite Pet 80 Fits
Elite Pet 80 is built for dog runs, backyard pet areas, and side-yard relief areas. It carries the same 60 oz/sq yd face weight as our shorter landscape turf, but in a 1.25 in blade — the same fiber mass packed into a shorter fiber. That is what makes it stand up under repeated dog traffic and recover instead of laying flat, and it is why a pet area finished in Elite Pet 80 rinses through and blows out faster than a taller blade with a fuller thatch. The backing is permeable, so water and liquid pass through the turf rather than pooling on it. What happens below the turf is base design, and that belongs to the installing contractor.

Elite Pet 80 drainage and odor disclosure
Elite Pet 80 has a permeable backing. Installed drainage performance is determined by the base and sub-base designed and built by others, and no drainage rate is published for this product. Odor management in a pet area is a function of base drainage, infill selection, and cleaning practice. Superior Turf Direct supplies turf materials only and makes no odor-reduction claim for this or any product.
