#16 grit silica sand in 50 lb bags, the standard ballast infill for synthetic turf. It weighs the turf down, holds the blades upright and shields the backing from sun. Plan 1 to 2 lb per sq ft depending on pile height, so one bag covers roughly 25 to 50 sq ft.
